THERAPY FEES & ACCESSIBILITY
Investment & Accessibility
Thoughtful care is an investment in the life you're becoming.
Choosing to begin counseling is both a financial and personal investment.
My hope is to provide care that is thoughtful, unhurried, clinically excellent, and deeply personalized.
Rather than focusing only on symptom relief, our work is designed to help you better understand your story, strengthen relationships, cultivate sustainable patterns, and move toward greater freedom, congruence, and wholehearted living.
Because every person's story and goals are unique, we'll work together to determine the pace and approach that best serves your story and this season of your life.

Lionheart Counseling accepts credit cards and HSA/FSA cards. Because individual plan rules vary, clients are encouraged to confirm eligible expenses with their HSA or FSA administrator.
The Wholehearted Journey Therapy Intensives
Every Wholehearted Journey begins with a brief initial application followed by an extended complimentary consultation lasting at least 60 minutes.
During the consultation, I'll provide an overview of the intensive process, learn more about your goals, and use your application to help us discern whether a Wholehearted Journey is the right fit. If we agree to proceed, we'll begin mapping the personalization process, and you'll receive an onboarding email with preparation details and next steps.
Because each intensive includes personalized preparation and clinical planning—and varies in length and focus—the investment is determined individually rather than through a standard fee schedule. Before scheduling, you'll receive clear information about the proposed format, fees, and what is included.
Why Private Pay?
Lionheart Counseling is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly.
This allows care to be planned around your goals and clinical needs without relying on an insurance company’s authorization requirements, session limits, or medical-necessity decisions. It also provides greater flexibility in determining the pace and approach that best serve your story.
Some clients value having more control over whether an insurance claim is submitted. If you choose to use out-of-network benefits, your insurance company may require a diagnosis or other clinical information, and all reimbursement decisions remain with your plan.
For many clients, private-pay counseling creates space for thoughtful, personalized care focused on deeper understanding and sustainable growth.
Using Your Out-of-Network Benefits
If your insurance plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement.
Upon request, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company. A superbill does not guarantee reimbursement, and coverage decisions are made by your plan.
Because every plan is different, consider asking your insurance company:
— Does my plan include out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits?
— Do I have an out-of-network deductible, and how much remains?
— What percentage or allowable amount may be reimbursed?
— Are virtual therapy sessions covered?
— What documentation or diagnosis information is required?
Your insurance company can explain how these benefits apply to your specific plan.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
I believe thoughtful, clinically excellent counseling should be as accessible as possible.
While Lionheart Counseling is primarily a private-pay practice, I recognize that every person's circumstances and every season of life are different.
If financial circumstances are the primary reason you're hesitant to reach out, I encourage you to schedule a complimentary consultation. While I cannot guarantee reduced-fee services, we can have an honest conversation about your situation and explore available options or trusted community resources that may be a good fit.
Lionheart is also committed to exploring partnerships and future initiatives designed to serve individuals, churches, ministries, nonprofit organizations, and communities with limited access to care.
What Is a Good Faith Estimate?
If you don't have health insurance or choose not to use it to pay for your care, you are generally entitled to receive a written Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your services before care begins.
A Good Faith Estimate is not a bill. It is intended to help you understand the anticipated cost of care based on the services reasonably expected at that time. Lionheart Counseling will provide this information as required and upon request.
Begin with a Conversation
Sometimes the first conversation isn't about beginning counseling. It's simply about understanding your options. If questions about investment or accessibility are keeping you from reaching out, you're welcome to begin there.
